ABOUT US

The impoverished South Dakota reservations and the crude mass grave of the massacred Lakota juxtaposed with the pristine 7th Cavalry cemetery and marbled halls of Congress will provide the visual backdrop to the story of Lakota descendants looking to revoke Medals of Honor.

We’ll create a visually striking, emotionally resonant, and historically rich narrative using earthy tones to evoke solemnity, and our narrative structure will transition among historical context, personal stories, expert interviews, and contemporary efforts. Visual and auditory cues will enhance connections between elements, ensuring a steady, engaging pace.

HOW WE TELL IT

Key scenes will be created through reenactments produced with a vintage feel to capture poignant moments previously lost to history, and cinematic techniques, including slow-motion and macro shots. High-quality cameras like Canon’s EOS C300 Mark III will capture interviews, and an original score blended with traditional Lakota music will support the film’s emotional depth, thus creating a moving auditory experience.

DISTRIBUTION & MARKETING

Disputed Honor explores a compelling and sensitive narrative that requires a thoughtful marketing and distribution strategy.

Our aim is to premiere at a top-tier film festival such as Sundance or Tribeca as well as the American Indian Film Festival and other smaller Native festivals wherethe film will resonate with our target audience, acknowledging cultural relevance and garnering support. We estimate a festival run of 5-6 months.
